Management Referrals
Our Management Referral service provides employers with independent clinical advice where a colleague’s health may be affecting their work.
This can support cases involving long-term or frequent sickness absence, return to work following illness or injury, physical or mental health concerns, reasonable adjustments, fitness for work and circumstances where additional workplace support may be required.
Our clinicians provide practical recommendations to help employers make informed decisions and support colleagues to remain in, or safely return to, work.
Health Surveillance
Where colleagues are exposed to certain workplace health hazards, employers may be required to provide appropriate health surveillance.
Our Health Surveillance services include hearing/audiometry, HAVS, respiratory/lung function and skin surveillance.
These assessments can help identify early signs of work-related ill health and provide valuable information about whether workplace control measures remain effective.
Health Surveillance requirements should be determined through workplace risk assessment and may apply where colleagues are exposed to hazards such as excessive noise, vibration, chemicals, fumes, dusts and other substances hazardous to health.
Safety-Critical & Fitness for Work Medicals
We provide medical assessments for roles where an individual’s health and fitness may directly influence their own safety or that of others.
This can include work at height, confined spaces, safety-critical activities, driving-related duties and other higher-risk roles.
Depending on the assessment required, medicals can include general health screening, blood pressure, height and weight, vision testing, urinalysis, spirometry and audiometry.
Pre-Placement & New Starter Assessments
Our pre-placement assessments help employers identify whether a new colleague may require workplace support or reasonable adjustments before starting their role.Electronic questionnaires are reviewed by our Occupational Health clinicians, with further assessment arranged where additional clinical information is required.Secure Occupational Health Management
Our Occupational Health service is supported by Apollo Professional, a secure, cloud-based Occupational Health management platform.
The system enables referrals, questionnaires, assessments and appropriate outcomes to be managed securely, helping protect sensitive medical information and maintain appropriate confidentiality.
