This two-day CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme course provides new and existing construction supervisors with the knowledge required to supervise work safely and effectively.

The course explains how health and safety legislation applies to the supervisor’s role and highlights the importance of risk assessment, method statements, communication and timely intervention when unsafe practices are identified.

Course Aim

To give delegates a clear understanding of their health and safety responsibilities and develop the practical supervisory skills required to monitor work, communicate standards and maintain a positive safety culture.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain their responsibilities for controlling work safely.

Duration: Two days
Assessment: Delegates are assessed through participation, exercises and a final examination. Full attendance is required.
Certification: Successful delegates will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus SSSTS certificate, valid for five years. The SSSTS Refresher must be completed before the certificate expires.
