Guided by the value of respect, Wayne has a unique background, having once met the late Queen at a police national memorial event in 2003.
What do you enjoy most about working at arlo?
For me, it’s the people. We work incredibly closely as a team, but it goes beyond that – we’re more like an extended family. Everyone looks out for one another, there’s always someone willing to lend a hand, and we all share the same goal of doing the best we can for our clients. It’s a great environment to be part of, and it’s rewarding to know we’re making a genuine difference together.
What are you most passionate about, either in or outside of work?
I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and helping people develop. Whether I’m delivering training, supporting someone on site, or helping a client work through a challenge, I enjoy passing on the experience I’ve gained throughout my career. There’s nothing better than seeing someone leave a course more confident than when they arrived or knowing you’ve helped someone work more safely and effectively. That passion for helping others doesn’t stop at work – it’s something I try to carry into everyday life as well.What would people be surprised to learn about you?
One of my proudest memories was having the opportunity to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the National Police Memorial Day in 2003. We had a genuinely enjoyable conversation, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It’s not every day you get to chat with the Queen, and it’s certainly a story that tends to surprise people!What’s one value that guides how you work with clients and colleagues?
Respect. It’s something I believe should be at the heart of every relationship. Treat people fairly, listen to their perspective, and always be willing to support them. Whether I’m working with clients, colleagues or delegates on a training course, showing respect builds trust, encourages open conversations and helps achieve the best possible outcomes for everyone involved.Client Review
